How is Springfield Downtown Rotary Different?
The Rotary club of Springfield (Downtown Rotary) dinner meeting provides a unique fellowship  experience and ample time to connect with community leaders in a meaningful way.  We also provide our members for opportunities for Service Above Self to our community and for Rotary International programs that make the world a better place.  Participation becomes a highly rewarding chance to learn and have fun while serving our community in a positive manner.
The Downtown Rotary Club meets at Maldaner's Restaurant for on Monday evenings.  We meet upstairs in the beautiful reception bar room for fellowship.  The congenial discussion continues during dinner which begins service at 5:30.  We are known for our delicious meals with healthy options including a selection of fresh salads and desserts.  Dining as a group provides opportunities to get to know club members and develop new relationships.
Our meetings begin at 6:00 pm with an occasional patriotic song followed by the pledge of allegiance.  Club business includes information about community volunteer projects.  Yes, community support will always be a major part of Downtown Rotary's mission.  We continue this calling and welcome potential members who want to get involved with their communities in a meaningful way.
The fellowship and fun continues with bragging rights with members taking the microphone to tell stories that include news, information, humor and clever repartee.  We also draw a potential winner of a raffle that benefits local college scholarships.  Irreverent banter from our Sergeant Major at Arms adds to the fun.
The final half hour is reserved for an informational program focusing on newsworthy and interesting events in our community.  We frequently hear innovative and compelling stories about creative changes that have positive impact on all of us.
We adjourn before 7:00 pm.     Please consider visiting with us!
